Warrior Dashed

We ran in the Warrior Dash yesterday down in Bastrop.  They call it "The Craziest Frickin Day of Your Life".  I'm pretty sure most days of boot camp were crazier than this for me, but we had a lot of fun nonetheless and would recommend this race to most anyone.

I really enjoyed watching some girl try to actually walk under the barbed wire instead of crawl in the mud.  It was even funnier when she got her shirt caught, was stuck for about a minute of her race, and was mad about the whole thing.  Trisha and I, on the other hand...not to point out how much better we were in comparison with her or anything...just dove in and flew through it.

I found it ironic that the running was the part that helped Trisha get ahead of so many people in our heat; and me, I blew through the obstacles.  We made a fun team.  This was our FHE for the week.

Plus side of race: cool medals, we got to make fun of people, rockin warrior hats that we wore all the way home and almost forgot to take off when we went out for breakfast... whoops! Drawbacks: three washes later and our shorts are still sandy, wife made me look like a pansy between obstacles.
